Abstract
In this talk it will be reviewed some of the latest results about extra-solar planets. It will be made a quick description of the different techniques and present the current limitations and the ones to come with the new planned instruments. Then it will be presented the information that is is possible to extract from the study of the planet hosts stars, the metallicity correlation, the possible lithium correlation and other elemental rations that seem to be connected to the presence of planets. All these information give us clues and restrictions to the stellar and planet formation and evolution theories.
