PLATO 2.0 is an ESA mission (M3 slot), with expected launch in 2024. The science case for PLATO 2.0 includes the detection of terrestrial exoplanets in the habitable zone of solar-type stars and the characterization of their bulk properties, needed to determine their habitability. IA is deeply involved in PLATO 2.0, having one researcher at the Consortium Board, and Work-Package leaders in the context of the Payload, Data Center, and Science Preparation.
