Biographic Notes
Polychronis Papaderos is a researcher at IA. He was awarded a Diploma in Physics by the University of Göttingen in 1993, and a PhD in Astrophysics by the University of Göttingen in 1998. In 2007, upon completion of his Habilitation, he was bestowed the title Privatdozent at the University of Göttingen. He is a member of IA since 2009.

Current research interests focus on Assembly history of galaxies and their structural components; Co-evolution of super-massive black holes with their galaxy hosts; Formation, evolution and starburst activity in dwarf galaxies; Extremely metal-poor star-forming galaxies in the nearby Universe and at higher z; Lyman-α and Lyman continuum photon escape in galaxies; Evolutionary and population spectral synthesis, surface photometry and image processing.

He participates in the Euclid, MOONS and ESTALLIDOS consortia. He has co-developed the software packages FADO and RemoveYoung, and contributed to the development of the software package iFit, available at IA.
