Biographic Notes
João Coelho is a researcher at the Physics Department of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. He was awarded a first degree in Physics Engineering and Materials by the Nova University of Lisbon in 1992 and a PhD by the Technical University of Lisbon in 2003. He is a member of IA since 2014.

Current research interests focus on the propagation of laser radiation in the media, optical design and optical metrology. In this fields and under the scope of IA, he has participated and is participating in several misions (e.g. ESPRESSO, MOONS and NIRPS, from ESO, and PLATO from ESA), where he contributed to the development of several optical instruments, In the near future he plans to work in the missions HIRES, from ESO, besides others requiring optical design.
