Biographic notes
My research activity is focused on the study of the upper atmosphere of Venus and Mars through both data analysis and modelling. During my PhD, at IAA in Granada, Spain, I was involved in the exploitation of data from the satellite Venus Express, orbiting around the planet Venus from 2006 to 2014, more specifically non-LTE emissions by CO2 and CO. I also contributed to the development of a 1-D ionospheric photochemical model, that was implemented in the Mars Global Circulation Model (MGCM) developed at the LMD, in Paris, France. Successively, during a 2 year postdoc at LMD I have been in charge of the extension of the Venus GCM (VGCM) up to the thermosphere of the planet (150 km) by the inclusion of the main physical processes playing a role in the thermal balance above 100 km.

Since October 2016 I work at IA, in Lisbon. I am investigating the high variability recently observed in the middle/upper atmosphere of Venus and Mars combining model simulations and observations. My main current research interest is to study the impact of specific physical processes, such as non-orographic gravity waves propagation, to the transport of heat and constituents at those upper layers of Venus and Mars atmospheres.
