Abstract
Some Cosmological models beyond LambdaCDM have astrophysical signatures such as spacetime variations of the fune-structure constant. The combination of astrophysical and cosmological measurements with numerous local experiments allows us to optimally constrain these models. This seminar will illustrate this point by presenting improved constraints on a string-theory inspired runaway dilaton model.
