Characterising FG-type stars with SVP: a more efficient method to compute radiative accelerations

Abstract
The chemical transport mechanisms are key ingredients to model stars, and radiative accelerations are one of them. However, the current method of calculating them is too computationally expensive. Radiative accelerations do not allow the computation of a large number of stellar models that are necessary to characterize stars. In this talk I will present our implementation of the SVP method in the MESA evolution code.
SVP is a more efficient way to compute radiative accelerations in stellar models. I will show how it performs in the characterization of observed stars.
