Abstract
Making a career in Astronomy is a challenge to any young researcher. But how challenging is finding a permanent position? I present a statistical study done by ESO staff Michael West about the typical CV of researchers that obtained in 2010 a permanent position in Astronomy. Though some of the results are discouraging, the general message is "Don't Panic!"
