Abstract
I will present a study to access the orbital parameters and masses of a sample of candidate metal-poor binary stars using a combination of radial velocity and astrometry.
I will explain the methods that have been used, and I'll point out a particular case: CD-436810, in which the solution with the old and new reduction of the Hipparcos Catalogue is different.
