Abstract
The technical aspects of using an Equivalent Width (EW) method for the derivation of spectroscopic stellar parameters with ares+moog are described herein. While the science background to this method can be found in numerous references, the goal here is to provide a user-friendly guide to the several codes and scripts used in the tutorial presented at the School.
