Characterizing the smallest planet hosts

Abstract
The determination of accurate and precise stellar parameters and chemical abundances of M dwarfs is of prime importance to study the Galactic chemical evolution since they are the most abundant in the Galaxy. Moreover, M dwarfs are excellent targets for the search of small planets due to their lower mass. However, to characterize the mass, radius and bulk composition of a planet we need to have the more  precise parameters and chemical composition of its host star. The goal of this project is to better characterize this population of poorly known stars in order to achieve the previous issues by using high resolution NIR spectra.
