Abstract
Galaxy form and evolve, and in order to have their present shape there are many conundrums still to be solved. Narrow-band surveys open an new window to understand all the processes that have a key impact on the galaxy star formation and its quenching, and very importantly ascertaining more about the "nature or nurture" problem. These concepts will be reviewed, and also the thesis status, goals and future objectives.
