João Yun is professor of Astronomy and Physics at the Physics Department of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. He was awarded a first degree in PHYSICS by the University of Lisbon in 1984, And a Master degree by the University of Lisbon in 1987. He earned a PhD in Astronomy & Physics by Boston University in 1993. He is a member of IA since 2014.
He specialized in multiwavelength studies of Star Formation and the Interstellar Medium. Current research interests focus on the study of embedded young stellar clusters and molecular gas in the outer Galaxy.
