Abstract
Asteroseismology is a science which studies pulsating stellar populations using stellar seismic indices. Stellar seismic indices (such as the large separation, the peak frequency and the mixed modes period spacings) are physical quantities related to the structure and the evolution of stars.
I will present how we use these seismic indices to estimate stellar fundamental parameters, like the Mass and the Radius, thanks to scaling relations. I will talk about the Stellar Seismic Indices DataBase belonging to the the European SPACEINN project which is intended to provide estimated stellar parameters to a broad scientific community within and beyond the stellar physics community. I will finish by what remains to be done to improve scaling relations.
