Biographic Notes
Elisa Delgado Mena was awarded the 'Licenciatura' in Physics and Master in Astrophysics by the University of La Laguna (Spain) in 2007 and 2008, respectively. Later, she obtained her PhD in 2011 in the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC, Tenerife, Spain) where she studied the chemical abundances of light elements (Li, Be, C and O) in the atmospheres of exoplanet host stars and how the formation of planets can influence such elements. After that she carried out her research with a FCT Postdoc fellowship in the Centre for Astrophysics, University of Porto (CAUP) between 2012 and 2016 and currently she has an i-FCT contract in the same place. Her main research interests are the derivation of stellar chemical abundances for solar-type stars, planet-host stars and M dwarfs, the search and characterization of exoplanets (especially around evolved stars), stellar variability and atmospheres, and the chemical evolution of the Galaxy.
